Show SCHOOL DISTRICT IN FINE SHAPE A statistical report on utah schools published in the february edition of the utah taxpayer contains some interesting facts in regard to the grand county school district according to the report the taxpayers of grand county last year paid into the state district school tax fund the sum of and the grand county schools received as their proportion of the state school tax fund the sum of in other words grand county taxpayers contributed tri buted for the upkeep of schools m other counties of the state paying 53 3 per cent more in state school taxes than they received back from the state the statistical report further shows that in grand county last year 36 weeks of school were had there were thirteen elementary school teachers in the county two junior high teachers and four senior high teachers the elementary school population was while the senior high school enrollment was 99 grand county school district last year had a bonded indebtedness debt edness of 1500 of which has been liquidated since the first of the year only one other district in the state had so low jia bonded debt and that was davis with outstanding bonds in the ir sum of grand county school district has in jr vested in school property it seems to us that these figures show that the grand county school district is in a pretty healthy condition |
