Show frank davis aged 71 a miner and prospector who had resided at moab for the past six months was suddenly stricken with a heart attack wednesday evening passing away a few hours from the first attack mr davis who was residing at the home of his niece mrs daisy taylor had been in his usual health until wednesday afternoon when he complained of feeling ill the doctor was immediately summoned and pronounced the ailment as heart trouble mr davis was stricken by several other attacks and within a short time he died he was ill only a few hours funeral services were held friday afternoon from the baptist church being conducted by rev jonathon wood mr davis was a brother of the late byron davis of moab he was born in iowa in 1857 and when a boy went to denver where he remained until a man his life was spent as a prospector and miner and he worked in most of the boom mining camps to the early days of colorado during the past twenty years he had spent considerable time in moab and southeastern utah and had many friends throughout this section mr davis never married he Is survived by his alster ln law mrs melissa davis and the following nieces and nephews mrs taylor and miss bess davis of moab mrs ralph taylor of redmesa Red mesa colo and melvln A nd philander davis of moab |
