Show HIGH SCHOOL OPERETTA TO BE RENDERED APRIL the operetta the marriage of nannette will be presented at star hall april 6 by students of the grand county high school under the direction of miss aulen robertson teacher of music the operetta has a cast of fifty and Is a story of prance in the eighteenth century the story portrays tha adventures of a duke 80 years old who Is trying to marry tor the fourth time there are eighteen solo parts in the operetta helen bush has the role of mannette the maid with edgar kerby as her sweetheart oscar jameson takes the part of the elderly duke hex bronson and clara taylor are gypsies agnes somerville has the role of the mother of nannette lester walker and arthur are highwaymen who kidnap the dukes bride played by dorothy maxwell the dukes daughter and lance are played ay carlsten sen and eural bronson loys max well Is stewart to the duke virginia peterson katherine oliver and curels robertson are villagers the operetta contains a great many quartets trios duets and solos while the large chorus is kept busy in ensemble singing A tunny plot picturesque costumes and beautiful music are offered in the production and it should prove to be one of the best light operas ever presented by the high school |
