Show HOPE GIVEN FOR ANOTHER FEDERAL AID PROJECT officials cals of san juan county met with the state road commission yesterday at salt lake to urge construction st of eight miles of federal aid highway from monticello to the foot of peters hill they were in that no funds are available for the work at present but that the engineers of the road commission would be instructed to proceed with plans and that a resurvey of funds would be made in an effort to find some which might be available for the work about thirty miles of road remain to be constructed to extend the federal aid work from big wash to monticello it is figured that the eight stretch from peters hill to monticello is most needed due to the muddy character of the district and the drifting of snow in the winter frank shafer motored to grand the first of the week accompanied by his cousin miss ida larsen they returned yesterday mr and mrs J T learning and children left sunday for montrose colo mr learning returned yesterday his wife and children remaining at montrose for a two weeks visit with relatives carroll J meador was a visitor in grand junction this week returning last night mr and mrs max B and children left sunday for a visit 41 salt lake city mr and mrs jessa maxwell and returned saturday from a visit at salt lake city |
