Show NEXT SCHOOL tei the county board of education at a hect ng friday elected teachers for the ensuing school year present at the meeting were trustees robertson J P miller H W bal eley william cooley and S W dufford superintendent D S I 1 mccorkle and clerk W R McCon tae more than the usual number of teachers at present employed in the district were not candidates for re employment for various reasons and contracts were therefore offered to a dunber of new applicants the boad re elected J D thompson to the of the grand county high school there is some question as to whether mr thompson will accept although he is being urged generally to do so he is undecided as to whether to return to moab or accept a position in ohio which has been tendered him A E tanner was elected reelected re as teacher of manual training and other subjects and campbell high school coach and teacher of mathematics was re elected miss wilmetta scott of the domestic science department will probably accept a position in porto rico miss elizabeth of the public speaking department was again tendered a contract but is undecided as to whether or not she will accept R J taylor of the music de apartment part ment was not a candidate for re electron and will leave in june for ann arbor mich to enter the university of michigan law school miss norma peterson of the business department of the high school was reelected re elected miss helen taylor was employed for the english department part ment of the high school and miss jessie dark was employed for the domestic science department misses taylor and dark are this spring graduating from the university of utah mrs edna patterson was reelect re elect ed as principal of the central school mrs jeanette alien jenaine Jen kine who has made a considerable success as first grade teacher in the central school was not a candidate for re elocution eloc tion she will leave for new york city this spring patrons of ithe central school will be interested to ow that miss jennie hoff who has had several years experience as a first grade teacher and who wis recommended in highest terms by her principals as well as bv P M Nic lsen formerly principal at moab and now superintendent of the thoele tooele county school was elected as first grade teacher and has accepted miss hazel berry teacher of the fourth grade wis not a candidate for reelection re election hazel thompson and misses feidi stark and haz el present central school teachers were again offered contracts A number of the teacher in the outlying schools of tho county were not candidates for re electron in caludine bliss bethel wafts miss ada rine taylor miss zola and mrs williams at sago john arnold and mrs martle arnold were re employed other teachers who were employed but who are unassigned are misses hilda cook faye ada magnusson lena nix edith rutledge and neva dark |
