Show BLUE CROSS PLAN AGAIN APPROVED The Intermountain Hospital Service Plan, Salt Lake City, has been reapproved as one of 91 Blue Cross plans for operation opera-tion during the year 1948 by the board of trustees of the American Ameri-can Hospital association, it was announced by D. O. Wight, executive ex-ecutive director. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Intermountain Blue Cross plan has been so approved, said Mr. Wight. Approval is made on a yearly basis and means that the plan has complied with the principles of organization and operation as set forth by the American Am-erican Hospital association and is thereby authorized to use the identifying symbol of the Blue Cross. In Utah Blue Cross enrollment exceeded 105,000 at the end of 1947, with 31,652 Utahns subscribing sub-scribing to the allied Blue Shield of Surgical and Maternity Care plan of the Utah State Medical association. |
