OPEN HOUSE AT KKAKNS SUNDAY AFTERNOON "Open house" will be held at Kearns Townsite from 1 to ti p.m. Sunday, August 28, S. D. Caplan, general manager of Kearns Townsite, Inc., announced Thurs-day. Two of the first hundred hom-es to be ready for occupancy in September will be completed. Mr. Caplan said, for inspection by the public. The two new hom-es will be decorated and com-pletely furnished in order that prospective home owners may get an idea of the type of archi-tecture and construction avail-able. Kearns Townsite homes, situ-ated 12 miles from Salt Lake City will consist of two and time bed-room residences. These units are being built by the Mountain View construction company of redwood or cedar siding with ce-dar shingle roofing and floor and ceilings insulated. Oak floors, yrnple closet space, forced hoi air and oil fired heat and ter-mite shields are included under FHA specifications. Homes with or without garages are available. Purchase price of the homes aLso includes a large lot, planting of the front lawn, and road, wa-ter, sewage and electrical instal-lations, according to Mr. Cap-lan. A former army camp, Kearns has the sewage, water and elec-trical facilities for a community of several thousand homes. Plans for the Kearns of the fu-ture, Mr. Caplan said, envision lam.
