Show BANQUET TO FETE IKE ARMSTRONG Ike Armstrong, University of Utah football coach, who will leave soon to become athletic director di-rector at the University of Minnesota, Min-nesota, will be honored at a banquet ban-quet Wednesday, May 31 in the Union building. More than 500 of Ike's friends and former players are expected to gather for the occasion, according ac-cording to Dr. L. David Hiner, chairman in charge of the affair. It is being sponsored by the University Uni-versity Athletic Board and the "U" Men's club. Ike resigned last week after guiding Utah's football teams for 25 years. In that time he won twelve conference championships and tied for another, winning a total of 140 games, losing 55 'and tying 15. He has also been athletic ath-letic director at Utah and coached coach-ed the track team until 1948. Special guests at the dinner will be the men who have captained cap-tained Utah's football teams under un-der Ike's regime, and members of the 1947 and 1948 conference champion teams, who will be a-warded a-warded gold footballs in recognition recog-nition of their championships. A reception honoring Ike and Mrs. Armstrong will he held from 6 to 7 p.m., to 'be followed by the dinner at 7, according to Dr. Hiner.
