Show CHILDRENS CHILDREN'S nAY DY 1 AT fAIRGROUNDS I ATTRACTS MANY I Youngsters Given Holiday I Ito to Attend Exhibits Bo Boy BoyI Boi y I Scouts Take Part in Features Features Features Fea Fea- tures Auto Races Today I- I r Over children are expected to attend the tho Utah State fair today in celebration of the special childrens children's I day set aside by the fair lair directors Today will also be celebrated by the I Boy Doy Scouts hundreds of whom under the leadership of Scout Executive Oscar I KIrkham are to take part in various features arranged especially for them The Boy Scouts' Scouts band will be at the fair grounds to provide music during the morning and afternoon The Utah Public Health association will distribute distribute distribute distri distri- bute 1000 big gas balloons free to children children children chil chil- dren visiting the health exhibit during the day A holiday has been proclaimed in all the city city- schools to permit the pupils to attend the fair fall In many of the schools I the children have been asked to turn in descriptive writings on what they saw and learned at the fair Many exhIbitors exhibitors exhibitors tors have planned special entertainment for the youngsters and several will feature feature feature fea fea- ture gifts of some sort for them The Garrett Wild West show in the coliseum was made more than ordinarily ordinarily ordinarily exciting last night by the throwing of two of the expert riders who were attempting to ride wild horses In the arena Smoky Branch sustained a dislocated shoulder and Chick Jones bruises about the body The automobile races scheduled for tomorrow will carry a special interest in that they will decide the intermountain tain championships for 1921 A double I bill will be staged with all of the speed demons on hand to try for forthe the championships championships cham cham- II In each class The usual auto race card was scheduled today scheduled today on I the race track I CATTLE IN PARADE A parade of blooded prize winning I cattle In front of the grandstand of the fair grounds featured yesterdays yesterday's attractions celebrated as Utah and I Salt SaIt Lake counties day I The grandstand was packed to overflowing overflowing overflowing over over- flowing by thousands bent on viewing the cattle parade and the horse and automobile races to follow Dr R R.
