Show BINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL NEWS by Jeniel Boren Candlelight Service December 21 At 8:00 P.M. Candlelight Service practice was begun. With the wonderful chorus Clyde A. Miller has this year, it is sure to be a success. It will be presented next Thursday, Thurs-day, December 21, in the Bingham Bing-ham high auditorium at 8 o'clock. The Jordan seniors have been invited to attend the matinee per tcrmance at 1:30 p.m. Postponed Assembly Slated The postponed assembly from last week is to be given today. This assembly is under the direction di-rection of Sam Adondakis. Senior Hop Decorating began Wednesday morning for the Senior Hop. They really have been working strenuously stren-uously on their "White Christmas" Christ-mas" theme because they are one day behind, due to the double header Tuesday. A large crowd is expected, as it should be very successful. Stage Production "Lunatics At Large" Presented Friday The Bingham high speech department de-partment presented their annual school play "Lunatics At Large", a three-act mystery-comedy, by James Reach to a large audience in the auditorium last Friday night at 8 o'clock. Members of the cast included: Sam Robison, Roy Christensen, Tommy Johnson, John-son, Richard Anderson, Floyd Graham, Dave Peterson, Grant Pullan, Luene Jaterka, Darlene Anderson, Joan Beard, LaVerne Wittke, Carrie Vidalakis, Argie Adondakis, Phyllis Sanderson and Merrilyn Boulton. Faculty Member Leaves For Navy Training Maurice L. Crawford, teacher of typing, shorthand and office practice, is leaving Friday for a two-week naval training period in San Diego, Calif. Mothers' and Daughters' Tea Held Sunday A lovely Mothers' and Daughters' Daugh-ters' tea was held Sunday, December De-cember 10, at the school library. All girls in senior high and their mothers were invited. There was a good turnout and the tea was a successful occasion. The program was planned by the Girl's club officers, and proceeded pro-ceeded as follows: the organ was played by Dick Carter, after which Miss Baer gave the welcoming wel-coming address. Argie Adondakis Adonda-kis then said "A Christmas Wish and Louise and Elizabeth Leonard Leon-ard sang "Silent Night". "The Way You Feel Inside" was recited re-cited by Mary Ann DeCol. Leila Johnson and Joy Seal then sang "White Christmas". Clara Friar told the story of "Silent Night' and "Silent Night" was the piano pi-ano selection played by Karlene Wilson. Doris Poulson sang "The Holy City" and a story was given giv-en by Gerri Gammell followed by a piano solo by Janice Hocking. Hock-ing. Phyllis Sanderson and Patsy Creedondid a dance and Jeniel Boren sang a song. Mary Hazel Rubalcava played a mouth organ solo followed by a vocal number by Aria Olsen, Roslyn Hansen and LaVon Anderson. "Christmas "Christ-mas Day" was given by Maurine Peterson and Anne DuBois and Donna Linck played a piano duet. At 4:00 p.m. the last of the guests went trailing out of the beautiful, cleverly decorated library, li-brary, having had a good time. Miners Win A Practice Tilt A double header was played here Tuesday night at 7 and 8 p.m. The first game was between Murray and Granite. This game ended with Granite on top. The 8 o'clock game ended with a final score of Bingham 33, Davis 31. o |
