Show I ELKS LAUNCH STAMP j DRIVE WITH PARADE I i The big war-savings war drive in Salt I Lake was opened last night by a a I pageant arranged by the Salt Lake lodge o No Ko 85 Benevolent and Protective I tive Order of ot Elks assisted by a battalion battalion bat bat- tallon of infantry from It Douglas The feature of the parade was th the costuming of the Elks more than of whom marched behind the soldiers dressed as Uncle Sams A wee tot of ofa ofa ofa a boy in this costume attracted great attention and much applause Nearly other members ot of f the lodge marched in the second section dressed in the regulation purple and white while of the order I I The Red Cross was given a section I headed by a a. mailed knight mounted I on a white horse A large float was I the principal l attraction of this section sec sec- I tion I live meetings of districts into which the city has been divided for the drive I were held last night At each of the meetings was given the regulation J salute to the flag and a bugler from the Twentieth T infantry mounded a I call which was followed by by ty singing I The Star-Spangled Star Banner Captain Walter Valter Kilroy Harris D D.
