Show Statements Made After Execution Representatives of the law and others interested in the sensational case of Howard DC Do Weese Neese today made the following statements after the execution this morning Wilson McCarthy district attorney who represented the state and secured D De e Weese's conviction after one of the most sensational court battles in the thc Criminal history of the state Howard De Weese Neese had a fair fall trial by one of the finest juries that ever vcr sat on a criminal case They found defendant guilty of murder in the first degree without a recommendation The defendant himself refused to appear before the board of pardons and make any statement to them in his own behalf The rhe board of pardons properly refused the reprieve thereby adding their judgment to the others The murder was one of the foulest ever committed in this state Considering Considering Considering Consid Consid- ering the enormity of the crime the penalty invoked upon De Weese was not too severe Judge J J.
