R Humble a retired editor editor edi edi- tor and lecturer conducted a funeral service over the body of Jiggs a fox terrier dog who came to his death when running to meet the car in which Frank Schultz and h his s family were wore re returning rO rO- turning to their home at 1136 North Thirty second street Kansas City Kans I The dog had been the com com- stant companion of the Schultz children It was Margaret age Olge 6 5 who went to Mr Humble with the request that he would preach for Jiggs' Jiggs funeral Mr Humble said Poor Jiggs Is dead but ho died happy happy hap hap- py in his love That is more wonderful than I can tell you And Jiggs will live in you When you are grown my children children children chil chil- dren you will often ofton think of this faithful animal and wish that all men were like him him him- faithful unto death Jiggs was wasa a good dog This is saying much When the sun aun sinks in inthe inthe inthe the West for me I could ask no higher words of praise than those I ha have e applied to him To say ho he was good is i. highest praise |
