ALLEY ANGLES BDAA keglers received a fancy fan-cy trimming at the hands of the Paramount Ice Cream squad last Thursday at the Temple lanes. After winning the first game, the locals were submerged 'neath a eritablc f.ood of strikes and spares from the 'Hot' ice cream men. The creamer's had 34 marks built up in the fifth frame of their second game and were well on the way to set a record in Major league play, but a couple of blows pet them back to a mere 1075 game. The locals compiled a 2803 total, which is good bowling, bowl-ing, but weie beaten nearly 200 pins by the super-charged sherbet sher-bet five. This week, the Major Traveling Travel-ing league moves back to the Ritz alleys and the BDAA squad will seek to turn the tables, or pins, or something. At Sugarhouse the Gemmell squad won 3 of 4 from their opponents op-ponents as Bill Braun and Dan Delaney, both newcomers to the league, led the locals with near 600's. Dan shot a 223 game, and Bill a 215 to help the totals a-long. a-long. Head Pin Tourney On The annual head-pin tournament tourna-ment Ls being staged at the Southeast South-east alleys this year and a large entry is expected. This popular tourney, where bowlers shoot to see how many pins they can knock dowu with 80 balls, and have to hit the No. 1 or head-pin to count, is being held this week end.
