Show ENGINEER DIES OF FALL HURTS YREKA Cal George George Albert Kervin 63 former Utahn and nationally nationally nationally na na- na- na known mining engineer died Friday of injuries caused from froma a fall 90 feet down a copper mine mineshaft mineshaft mineshaft shaft December 28 Mr Kervin who had made his home in New York for many years was vice president of the Resurrection Resurrection Resurrection I Mining company of Leadville Lead Lead- ville yule Colo Cob and director of the Copper Company Ltd of South Africa He lost his footing on a ladder while inspecting the Gray Eagle copper mine near Happy Camp and plunged down an ore chute He died at the Siskiyou county hospital Mr Kervin was born bori July 1 1 1878 in Virginia City Nev Nov a ason ason ason son of James and Jennie E. E Hutchinson Hutchinson Hutch Hutch- inson Kervin He moved to Park ark 1 City Utah with his parents when he was a child and began his mining mining min mm- ing career there He was vice president general manager and a director of the Mining company of New NewYork NewYork NewYork York City and in recent years he had spent considerable time in South Africa at the mines of the Copper Company Ltd He is survived by his widow Mrs Gertrude Reynolds Kervin whom he married in Salt Lake City a daughter Marguerite Kervin Kervin Ker Ker- vin yin both of Sacramento Cal a ason ason ason son George Kervin Jr New York City a sister Mrs A.
