CITY RESUMES ROAD STRIPING I Salt Lake City's street striping program for traffic control was renewed Monday when the city again took over the states state's big striping machine on a rental basis Within a few days work of painting regular center divisions and on some streets traffic lanes will have covered more than 30 stretches of main traveled roads The machine began work on South Main street Monday morning and during the week is to stripe about a dozen other streets said Max Banks city traffic supervisor The city used the machine last month to stripe a score of streets Last week the state was using the device to paint center division four-foot four neutral zones on South State and Second West streets The city rents the machine for work on city streets only The state road commission will paint center stripes and lanes on several streets that are part of the state highway system
