boxes boxe lad laden n with straw and a host of youngsters have reappeared and wintertime Is on n for tor sure I It has been three years maybe longer since the valley of the Great Salt lake has been covered with a mantle of snow of ot sufficient depth to make good sleighing but seemIngly seem seem- ju jut Just t to keep the folks In trim the weather man has been kind and gracious this year and provided the necessary wherewith to make sleigh I riding a pleasure and amid a possibility Streets Are Slippery Even the downtown streets still carry a covering of the slippery and for those who re not for tor the wintry blasts of the bleak country roads there are the downtown canyons lined on either side with lofty lotty buildings to 1 break reak the wind But shucks Who Vho wants that kind of a ti-I- There aro am plenty of folks too who have felt Just this way about it and the Jingle and ring of ot the sleigh bells bens and the laughter and merriment of the youngster enjoying a real old Into a sheet of glasslike ice and there most of the skaters have congregated Several privately owned rinks rink too have been opened and for the first time in several years there is real good ice skating There was just enough of a chilly breeze blowing blowin this morning to make the goin goods good anI and hundreds took advantage of the of offering offering ol- ol fering of ot old King Winter
