Thoy mndo an inspection of tho land in tho vicinity of Cedar Point and Tlckvllle nnd then went up to tho mouth of West Canyon, tho Blto whero Johnson's army first enenmped when It camo to Utah. They woro delighted with tho general lay of tho country and declared it to bo ideal for military mili-tary maneuver purposes. They said that (hero was enough water In Tlckvllle Tlck-vllle spring for nn army If properly conserved, and an abundance In Oak spring, thrco miles further west. In the West canyon tho stnto owns an entire section right in tho bottom of tho canyon, which is ideal for camping camp-ing purposes, bo that taken all In nil no selection In tho entire state could havo been better. It is not the Intention of tho state nnd government officials to Interfere with any rights already acquired by settlors or stockmen, but the. coming of the militia and soldiers will help them.
