F Wil- Wil cox The he operation was pronounced a success and Mr Hansen Hanson was on a fair way to recovery when he caught cold which developed Into pneumonia Wednesday evening he was thought to tobe tobe tobe be out of danger dang and a number of his friends visited him at the hospital on Thursday Mr Hansen said th that t he expected to be out in a short time But yesterday morning he was attacked attacked at at- tacked with heart trouble During the day lIe he appeared to rally and i it was thought that the att attack pk was only temporary tem tern About 5 o 0 l k i in 1 the afternoon afternoon afternoon after after- noon he became unconscious s and the members of his family was summoned Everything possible Was vias done but without avail John E. E Hansen was born at F Faust Tooele county Utah April 23 1863 When When-JO years old he came to Salt Lake City where he spent the rest pf his bis life with the exception of three years When 24 years years year old Mr Hansen was married to Miss Mary E. E Tate Tat of Tooele county Two children were born Mrs Hansen died in 1896 Two yearS I l ter he was married to Miss Nannah Tannah Morris a daughter of the late Bishop Richard V. V Morris of the Nineteenth Nineteenth Nine Nine- ward Two children ren were born bornas as a a. a result of this union The widow and the four children survive survive- I Shortly after his first marriage Mr Hansen went to the Southern States on ona ona ona a mission Upon his return three years later he be entered the employ 0 of the News in in the capacity of a reporter which position he occupied about five years when he lie was made city editor About a year and s M K naif ago he was made managing editor In the last fifteen years Mr Hansen I f r rf I 1 A John E. E Hansen had taken a more or less active part in politics He was secretary of the Senate Senate Senate Sen Sen- ate of the first State Legislature re Two years later he was as elected a member of the House He served twice as a's a member of the Board of Education from the Fourth precinct He had also taken an active part in church chuich affairs in in in which he lived At the time of his death he had charge of the parents parents' classes of the Sunday schools of Ensign stake Besides the widow and children Mr Hansen is survived by three brothers Frank E. E Hansen Hanse is employed in the claims of th the Oregon Short Line in this city cit The other brothers D. D. D C. C and S. S E. E Hansen are in the sheep raising business in Wyoming Mr Ir Hansen was of a lovable disposition disposition dispo dispo- and had a large circle of friends who admired him for his many excellent excellent excellent excel excel- lent qualities |
