R Evans and Mrs Eliza Jones of this thu city Is dead at her home here at the ago of 86 years ears Mrs Evans whose life had been an unusually eventful one was born bornat bornat bornat at Shire North Wales November November November No No- vember 13 1823 She came to this country country country coun coun- try with her first husband Daniel Roberts Roberts Rob Rob- erts and four small children In 1850 Her husband and one child died of cholera cholera chol chol- era on the Mississippi river and with the three r remaining c children I r she e spent the winter I r of 1 51 18 at St. St Louis urs urse g going from there to Council Bluffs Blurts Ia la where they lived until the following tollo spring when she fitted out an ox team and crossed the plains to Utah In 1853 she married Capt David R R. Byans Evans Evans Ev Ev- ans at BrIgham City In which city Captain Cap Cap- tain Evans died In 1861 leaving her with witha a family of eight children Four years later the two youngest of ot these children died and were burled buried In the same grave She came to Malad In 1871 and had re resided resided resided re- re sided here continuously the succeeding thirty-eight thirty years ears Mrs Evans leaves to mourn her the following tel fol of lowing this state children enD D.
