RIFlE ClUB PlANS FIRST ANGE WORK OR ORThe The Salt Lake Rifle Rife and Revolver club will wi hold the tIle first outdoor shoot tomorrow morning mornIng Shooting will wl start at 8 30 sharp on the government range south louth of ot Fort Douglas Dougla and all who expect to be present are urged to appear ear Rp on time as the government govern govern- ment is to have charge of ot running the targets targets tar tar- gets this year jear ear and the shooting at the va- va arous 3 rou rous ranges will wi b be run oft off as quickly as al possible AU All Al who WIle are Interested In rifle shooting are are- requested d to be pre present ent as there wilt will willbe wl be several positions on this years year's team team which must b filled tied b new ne' men There will wi be Springfield rifles available for tho the use of ot those who do not net have them and ai the government will 1 furnish free eo so that those these who do not own rifles or ammunition should not stay away on that account Shooting will continue every Sunday morning until the latter part of ot July at which time a civilian team will wi be picked to represent represent Utah In the national matches at Camp Perry Ferry during th the month of 01 August The team which makes the trip this year will wi be made mado up of ot eighteen shooters shooter who will wl have all al expenses of or transportation rations quarters etc etc paid by the gov- gov At Camp Perry there wl will beabout be beabout beabout about to four four- r. r week weeks of ot shooting chiefly with wIh the Springfield In this there will wi be numerous individual matches snatches at the various j ranges rans-es and under various conditions and andallo also allo the two four tour and six men team tam matches ratchel In In addition additon to these there will willbe willbe wil be small bore bore smal-bore matches pistol shooting trap trapshooting trapshooting I shooting snipers practice etc etc In which however hoever competition Is entirely optional the real rea purpose of ot the matches being the Springfield competition I The classIc of ot the mat matches hes Is usually held during the last ast two or three days of ot the period of 01 shooting This Is I the national I team match the course coure of ot which Is twenty shots rapid tIre lire on the the- D B target tars from yards 20 shots hots slow tire fire on the B n target target from yards and twenty shots slow siow fire tre treon on the C e target tars from 1000 yards The program tot for tomorrow will wl probably be the national team match course sn as outlined out out- lined above The first stage rapid rabid tire fire fre at yards will begin wi promptly at a. a m. m
