Utahn Lives Through Many Battles Then Dies of Pneumonia I ESCAPING the death hail of shot at Chateau Thierry and living to celebrate the victory of democracy's ys y's arms over the Hun Private James Wallace Wilson of Salt Lake has fallen a victim of pneumonia according to a dispatch received from the war department today by his mother Mrs Susan Wilson of 33 Glendale street Death occurred at Coblenz Germany Ger- Ger many mam February 20 while Wilson was wasa a member ot of the army ot of occupation the message states PrIvate Wilson was born In Salt Lake and was 24 years old Prior to hIs enlistment on June 1 1917 heW he was a blacksmith employed by the thel Utah Gas and Coke company compan lie He was In Arizona and I sent to a traIning camp sailed for Europe last May lIe he- he I he-I 10 longed l ed to the Tenth field artillery artiller r at- at t- t s to the Third divIsion which gained glory In the memorable fight for liberty at t Chateau Thierry Ills IUs mother received a cheery letter etter two days ago and the news of his death came as a shock to the family Besides his mother he Is survIved by bythe bythe the toll following owIng brothers and sIsters Alexander Charles and Wilson and Mrs June Mackay and Miss Susan Wilson
