Wilson, a noted PociaKsl speaker, who has beea giving a series of lectures ia Colorado, . arrived ia Salt Lake City this afternoon aad will apeak tonight at the Unitarian ehareh hall on Socialism," treating of the 'Subject 'Sub-ject in its wider aspects, aad paying attention at-tention to the economic, political and social aides of the question. Mr. Wilson Wil-son is an orator with a reputation in many cities, and the Socialists ipect to have a large crowd to-bear fcim tonight to-night ' V.' He will leave tonight for -Wyoming, where be will give some lecture, after which he will go esst to Ohio and Pennsylvania, where he will participate in the October campaign. . Socialism, he says, is spreading, and he expects to see more congressmen of that belief ia the next United Htatee congress. He looks to both Ohio and Pennsylvania to send men of the Socialist So-cialist party to congress. . After the elections Mr. Wilton will go to Chicago to take a poet aa lectures oa the natioaal bureau. He spoke through Utah and other states of the west about six years ago, since which time he has been on extended ex-tended tuilng- tours- through this country and the British itlee, and incidentally inci-dentally ran for congress for the Socialist So-cialist party from Kansas. His home ia ia Gerard, Kan., but he has spent some of hia time with his brother, J. 8titt Wilson, recently elected mayor of Berkeley, Cel., whose utterances have made him well known to readers of California papers. . , |
