C. Prick Cok company, a subsidiary of tha United States Steel corporation, to ascertaia whether there has been any attempt to create a monopoly ia the coking industry. in-dustry. The transfer negotiations were officially offi-cially aiToved lata yesterday, not withstanding that the government probing prob-ing into the matter had started by the hurried reassembling of the May grand jury. E. 3. Tsvlor, chief engineer of the Pittsburg Coal company, who was before be-fore the grand jury when adjournment waa taken late yesterdav, was the first witness called today. .He is likely to testify to the location of the coal concerned con-cerned in the deal and to the supply of coking coal in the Pittsburg district. |
