OCR Text	Show COAL CANYON STRIKE STARTS A STAMPEDE FROM LOVELOCK, NEV. (Special to The Telegram. 1 LOVELOCK. Jan. 21. The latest mining mi-ning excitement for lovelock Is the discoveries dis-coveries of rich mineral veins in Coal canyon, about fourteen miles east of town. -The first inkling of there being high values in that locality wai whispered about town Fridav night. The news soon spread, and by Saturday morning several rigs were on the road to the new strike and excited prospectors were pawing in the snow to get rocks for monuments as the range horses paw for bunch grass. Coal canyon Is where the road to the Sutherland antimony mine goes through the mountains east of town. Th name comes from this road having be-n used for hauling coal to the Sutherland and Antelope antimony mines when they were in operation.
