Thirty-four exhibits, embraeins; atari? 109 distinct varieties of plant, life, were entered by professlonM and amateur florists of the Holllday district. Attracted by the promise of a remarkable show, flower lovers from all sections of Bait Laka and Davis countlea Journeyed to the Holllday event and later expressed themselves as delighted with the beautiful and well managed affair. Representative residents of Holllday Holll-day declared today that there Is no Question but the demonstration will bo made an annual event. Direction Direc-tion of the show was In tho hands of m committee composed of Mrs. K. J. O'Brien. Mrs. Samuel C. Park, and Mrs. A. D. Taylor. While certificates cer-tificates of merit only were offered for awards at thla show the committee com-mittee expect In future shows to confer-medals upon 4he winners. Among the winners were William Hyte, best general assortment of flowers; Hans Hansen, beet collection collec-tion of fflnnlas, and Mrs. E. J. O'Brien best displays of mixed flowers. Kay Ws!kers water lilies, gladioli and nasturtiums attracted const Her-able Her-able comment, as did also the sweet heavy exhibitors and prlie winners were Mrs. Frank Croffer, Mrs. 8am-' uel C. Park and Joeeph Conradt. Utii employes of the Holllday telephone tele-phone exchange received honorable mention for a collection of Western ferns. |
