BUFFALO, May I From th little heretofore "no account" liackroad farms of practically isolated Erie county district, from the big commercial com-mercial fruit farms of Niagara and Chautauqua, and from all part of western New York came delegate recently for a conference In Buffalo on the food situation. Out of this meeting grew a powerful organisation, a branch of th nation' second defense de-fense army producer of food. The new organisation will work with similar societies of farmers in the state to Increase the crop supply. Expert who have studied the west- . ern New Tork conditions assert that one big problem In Increased production produc-tion Is available land. All farm territory terri-tory is practically cultivated to the fullest possibls extent.
