' Because government and exchange ex-change regulations prohibit further fur-ther price advance in a single session, these gains brought about a trading deadlock, inasmuch as very little grain was offered for sale even at the sharp advance. Practically every broker in the wheat pit had pockets stuffed with buying orders which could not be executed because they could bid prices no higher. Closing prices for practically every grain contract quoted on the exchange were a t the pegged limits for the session. Wheat was 5 to 8 cents net higher. September Sep-tember 75 7-8.
