Show PRISON SITE ACTION DELAY jSEXPECTEO Governor Henry H. Blood said Saturday hs was doubtful that any action would be taken on the proposed pro-posed TayuM-sville aite for the naw atate prison until next week. A committee of Taylorsville residents, resi-dents, headed by Hyrum Bennion, has asked for an appointment with the governor late Saturday afternoon after-noon to acquaint him with the results re-sults of a meeting held at Taylora-viUe Taylora-viUe Friday night, when the resident resi-dent voted, N te 44, in favor of the site. Samuel W. Stewart, chairman of the Utah atate athvsory eommis-aion eommis-aion on prison removal, attended the meeting and intimated the governor gov-ernor would approve the site If soil and water conditions are favorable. The site includes 160 scree near 4700 South and wast of tha Redwood road. |
