Western Group Outlaws Stymie CHICAGO, April 26 UP Contestants Contest-ants In tha Western Golf association's associa-tion's two match play tournaments this summer the Junior and the Western Amateur will not have to worry about the stymie hasard. The association, after a five-year study, reported today that players In Its "tourneyi ' have been-wver whelmingiy In favor of abolishment of the stymie rule, snd in the Junior and Weatern event this rule will be observed: "When both balls are on the putting green, tha player farther far-ther from tha hole may have the ball closer to tha hole lifted: however, how-ever, the ball closer to the hole may be lifted only upon such request." The Western Amateur will be played at Oklahoma City July 11-17. 11-17. The Junior will be played June 14-17 on the University of Michigan course at Ann Arbor.
