Show PARDONS BOARD HEARS30 CASES Kin of Killers' Victims Fight Leniency Relatives of two killers' victims appeared before the atate psrdons board Saturday to protest against granting of leniency to the convicts as the board considered SO casea at the atatc prison. Appearing against a petition for commutation of the life sentence Conrsd D. Hanson Is serving for the second degree murder of Edmund Ed-mund G. Hlnec were the victim's widow, Mrs. Charlotte J. Hines, and his son, Fred Hines. Hanson entered en-tered the prison on Msy g, 19.12. for the slaying of Hinea. an eaet side grocer in Salt Lake City, during a hold-up attempt. The widow told the board she considered the seven years Hanson hsd served as very little punishment for having taken the life of her husbsnd, and Fred Hinee oited Hanson's record as evidence thst he should not be granted the commutation. com-mutation.
