Show GIRL, 2, DROWNS IN DITCH WATER Body Found After Canal Is Drained Fifteen minutes after she toddled out the front door of her parent' home at Corlnn Friday, Cherry Roacbe, 1, was found, drowned in an irrigation ditch, an Associated Press dispatch said. Mr. and Mr. Glen Roach missed their daughter at :3 a. m. and immediately im-mediately turned the water out of the ditch, which run In front of uie home. When the water had drained, Cherry's body was found lying in ths mud. Mr. Roach rushed the child to a Brlgham City hospital, where resuscitation resus-citation was tried. Cherry was the second child to drown in Box Elder county within a week. Darwin Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Newton, drowned in an Irrigation ditch at Elwood Saturday. Surviving Cherry are her parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mr. Godfrey Roacbe, Corlnn, and Mr. and Mr. Parley Tlngey, Promontory. |
