Show C.r.T.T.C. VISITING ' DAY PLAN READY Brigadier General Walter C. Sweeney, Fort Douglas commandant and commanding officer of the C. M. T. C camp, Monday announced plans for the visitors' day program expected to attract several hundred Jersons to the post Thursday, uly 29. I The opening program will be in spection of the C M. T. C. camp 1 area- from te a. m, when will come an exhibition of close order or-der drill, the presentation of awards and the final review parade on the poet parade grounds. Lunch in Mess Ball Lunch will be served in the C M. T. C mess hall at 12:15 p. m. The trainees were enrolled from (very community in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and western Wyoming and General Sweeney expects the parents par-ents and friends of the trainees will come from throughout this entire en-tire area for the visitors' program. "We take pride In the accompli, h- menu of the C M. T. C trainees during the past three weeks of sum- rner training at Fort Douglas, said the general, "and we hope that a large number of these young men's friends will be present when awards are presented and the final parade held. Porpoeee "The visitors' day program will demonstrate not only the type of military instruction the boys have received, but also show what is being be-ing done to Instill proper habits of good citizenship, discipline and respect re-spect for fair play in the trainees." Already competition is narrowing down for the numerous awards to be presented to those trainees, whose military work and athletic achievements achieve-ments have been outstanding. |
