Show UNFAVORABLE TRADE BALANCEREPORTED WASHINGTON. March 4 (INS) The United States ended tha first month of 1S37 with an unfavorable trade balance of $18,346,000. For January, exports were valued at f221.o50.000 and Imports at $240,-384,000. $240,-384,000. Because of the maritime strike and stimulated demand for foreign raw materials, the United States closed 134 with its lowest favorable trad balance in more than 40 years. Both exports and Imports this January were substantially larger In value than In January, 1934. |
