Show Do Your Duty Today :i Salt Lake City and Utah, generally, have but one more day to j:; iecide, through their citizens, their own fate in regard to subscriptions subscrip-tions for war savings securities. Tomorrow at midnight the present drive in the war' savings -campaign ends. Wrth-the-eBdiftg of the campaign, Utah will know whether it has reached the goal of success or gone down to its first and only defeat as a state unable to meet its obligations to the government .! Officials in charge of the war savings campaign here are tilled :!' with suspense. Doubt as to the state reaching its quota is strongly ',' manifested. !.i Utah's salvation at this time practically the eleventh hour rests with those who made pledges to subscribe last June and who, 'j so far, have failed to fulfill their promises. : ; There must be an immediate response today and tomorrow by :.' those who have delayed pouring their money into the national exchequer after giving their word that they would do so. . ' It is not a question, so much, of individual duty at this time, but one of greater importance to this commonwealth. The honor j.i of the state hangs in the balance and only by all living up to-their word. as expressed last June when the call was made upon them, can Utah preserve its fair name. |
