Show Doctors Ask Police To Probe Mystery Poisoning of Three Ar Unablo to Diagnose Cast; Suffarars Ar 4 Much Improved . Police Inquiry into the mysterious poisoning of three members of a Salt Lake (amlly at their home Monday was requested Wedneaday by attending attend-ing physicians, who admitted they had been unable to diagnose the esses. The doctors reported that the three sufferers. Arthur W. Wlscotnb. 62: his wife. Mrs. Wiscomb. S3, and their son, Arthur, 9, all of 278 D street, were much Improved Wedneaday. The mother and son will be returned to their home late Wedneaday or Thursdsy. L. D. 8. hospital attaches said. Walter W. Wiscomb, a brother of Mr. Wiscomb, waa reported entirely entire-ly recovered from the mild poisoning he suffered. Chief of Police W. L. Payne said he would ask the city chemist to test the food eaten by the Wiscombs prior to their being taken 111 to determine whether It contain poison. Doctors who examined the sufferers reported they were confident a poison had caused the condition. Mrs. Alma Taylor, 520 Fifth avenue, ave-nue, a (rlend, discovered the plight of the Wiscombs Monday after Walter W. Wiscomb told her his brother could not come to the telephone because his wife was II L Haatenlng to the Wiscomb residence. resi-dence. Mr. Taylor allegedly found the father, mother and son uncon scious. and Walter Wiscomb in a semiconscious semi-conscious condition. Walter recovered shortly afterward, but waa unable tc explain what might have poisoneij him and the others. |
