A rousing , good titne has been made by the athletic Association of the Latter-day Saints university, whose annual outing will be given at Lagoon La-goon Saturday.. Every student and friend of the bis school will attend , the outing and a crowd of more-than more-than ordinary saza and more than ordinary good Ifature la expected. . A big programme of field sports, with suitable prises for the winners . of the various e .ents, will consume the greater part of the afternoon. THE GRANITE STAKE .OF THE Mormon church has full ' possession of Saltair beach Friday. The ex- curslon is one of the largest, save those given on holidays, of the entire en-tire season, and an Immense crowd will go out at night. A special train, bearing several hundred excursionists, ex-cursionists, ran down from Ogden and to the resori in the morning at ; 10:30 o'clock. It is his purpose to make that resort the most popular and the most heavily patronized of any of the out-of-town pleasure resorts. THE ANNUAL OUTING OF THE Old Folks will be at Spanish Fork this year and wfiT be given on July 15. The citizens of Spanish Fork have extended an Invitation to the " committee in charge of the outing.' which has been accepted. The Rio Grande Western! will run a free train' for all persons more than 70 ' years old. They will wear the usual red and blue badges with white rosettes. The train will leave here at 8:80 o'clock in the morning and returning wUl leave Spanish Fork at 6:30 o'clock at night. A |
