Show NEW BUILDING PLANNED FOR INSANE ASYLUM PROVO, March 20. The State Board of Commissioners of the Insane Asylum met at that institution yesterday and the following business was transacted: Medical Superintendent Hardy reported on the movement of patients for February, as follows: Males. Colder for the position ofaselstant medical superintendent, superin-tendent, and the same was approved by the board. Dr. Colder is now In one of the Eastern mental hospitals, where he holds a similar position, and will arrive In Provo about the middle of next month. Dr. Hardy filed his schedule of w ages of the employees of the Institution for the ensuing year, which the board took under advisement until the next session. ses-sion. The plans for the new building were discussed by the board, but as the plans are for a building to cost In the neighborhood of $70,000 and the Legislature Legisla-ture appropriated only $55,000 for that purpose, the plans were referred to Dr Hardy. Architect Watklns and Engineer Engi-neer Homer to advise and arrange for the necessary alterations. Darius Allen, a patient of the Insane Asylum, and one of the trusties of the place, took French leave of that Institution Insti-tution Wednesday evening and could not be located until yesterday morning at S o'clock, when he strolled Into American Fork, where his -home is. He was taken Into custody by the Marshal and held until morning, when Sheriff Harmon went-over and returned him to the asylum, k |
