Show POPULAR PRIESTS LEAVE SALT LAKE The Rev. M. J. Murphy, for several years past vjce-president of All Hallows Hal-lows college, it is announced will not return here. He Is at the headquarters of the Marlst Fathers, who have control of the college, in Washington, and will be sent to some other field of labor. Father Murphy has made a host of friends in Salt Lake who will regret his departure. He is a young man of much abljity and high social Qualities and worked unceasingly lor the success of All Hallows. The Very Rev. J. j. Guinan, president presi-dent of All Hallows, said this morning that -Father Murphy's successor had not yet been designated. There will be a rearrangement of the faculty, he said, but the plans had not yet been fully determined. de-termined. Thff Rev. William Morrissey, assistant assist-ant pastor of St. Mary's cathedral, has also recently departed from Salt Lake and It is understood he has gone to Ireland for further study. |
