Show LANDING ON BOTH SIDES OF PENINSULA IS NOW CONFIRMED SHAN HAI KWAN, May 7. 6:30 p. m. The reports of a Japanese landing on the Liao Tung peninsula are confirmed. The Japanese are said to have disembarked disem-barked 10,000 men on both sides of the peninsula, on Kin Chou bay and at Pitzewo, Pit-zewo, and to have cut the railroad above Port Arthur. This report was brought into Shan Hal Kwan by railroad rail-road men, who give the Russian censor at Tin Kow as their authority. It Is believed here that two other divisions di-visions of Japanese troops will land rear New Chwang and attempt later to effect a Juncture with the army from the Talu. |
