There are many pupils who ittend the Union whe should go to the iackson, but on account of the danger in :roeskig the- railroad track their parents bject to their attending the latter. Manual training will be made one of the rominent efatures of the coming school rear. This branch of education was made t feature of the public schools for the first 3me last year. The board provided ' enches and tools for twenty-four pupils f the eighth grade last year and gave :hem two hours each week in this branch. The Innovation proved to be a decided success with- the pupils, and it won the , iommendation of the parents.
