Show BATTERIES TO LEAVE eBBaeBjBjSSBBBSBBsaasBsssssssse ' ' Field Artillery Will Be Sent From Fort Douglas Doug-las to Leavenworth. The Twelfth and Twenty-second batteries, bat-teries, field artillery, stationed at Fort Douglas, have been ordered to proceed to Fort Leavenworth for station. This Is In pursuance with the policy recently adopted In the War department of bavins bav-ins the artillery assembled In battalions battal-ions of three batteries under the command com-mand of a Major. While it has not been officially announced, it is believed that a battalion will be assembled from other posts at Fort Douglas as soon as the transfers can be made. The batteries comprise an aggregate of 235 men and officers. These, with full equipment, will leave Fort Douglas as soon as quarters at their new stat-tlon stat-tlon are in readiness. This will leave only the five companies of Infantry at , the post with band and headquarters of the Twenty-ninth infantry. |
