A number of minor stocks showed considerable strength. Speculation generally was narrow and trading, was rather light, except In special stocks. Business Increased In volume as prices gave way In the second hour, and a number num-ber of the more Important stocks sold substantially below last night. Buying for both accounts caused a fractional isl-ly' isl-ly' towards noon, but the market became dull again on the advance. Bonds were Irregular at noon. 811ghtly lower prices were made this afternoon af-ternoon before the market encountered any effective support. On the rebound.
