SMALLPOX EPIDEMIC IN TOWTTOF MONROE MONROE, Aug. 22. Smallpox has gained such a hold here that now there are six places under Quarantine. Junius Webb, a young son of John Webb, has the disease In malignant form. At frequent Intervals during the last four weeks there have been persons on tbe streets whose faces1 were covered witt smallpox eruptions, and in one In-' In-' stance a young man attended a dance who had a well developed case of the disease. - On account of one of the men working on the Live Oak properties contracting tv disease, that camp has been placed aatder quarantine.
