Oct. 12.-The gross postal pos-tal receipts for September. 1904. as compared com-pared with the receipts for 1903,' at the fifty largest postofflces In the United States show a total of J5.9C6.969, a net Increase In-crease of S397.S80, or over 7 per cent The largest increase was almost SO per cent, at Dayton, O. There were four decreases, vis: Three per cent at Louisville. Ky.; 4 per cent at Philadelphia; almost t per cent at Providence, and t per cent at Des Moines, Is.
