Show TEACHERS UNWILLING TO WORK FOR GLORY Instructors at Sherman Indian School . Quit Until Public Funds Are Available. RIVERSIDE, Cal., April 11. A peculiar pecu-liar condition of affairs exists at Sherman Sher-man Institute, the Government Indian school here. The appropriation for the employment of teachers proved to be inadequate and not wlBhlng to labor for the love of humanity alone, the teachers teach-ers decided to Quit in a body until July 1st, when more funds will be available. In the meantime Superintendent Har-wood Har-wood ' Hall and his wife are teaching the 430 Indian boys and girls, assisted by a nuar.ter of te olJer pupil-. |
