Influenza,' it is stated, always attacks the weakest spot in its victim, and this has given rise to the suggestion that the present scourge owes its origin to an indulgence in plum pudding and mince pies. The doctors, however, do not all hold to this view. The deaths in London last week, due to influenza, numbered 82, as compared with 43 the previous week. |
