Show ALBANY LAWYER DIES - OF APOPLEXY AT 72 ALBANY, N. Y, - Nov. 2. VTiUiani Shepherd Manning, an Albany lawyer, who gained prominence in connection with the legislative insurance investigation, investiga-tion, died suddenly of apoplexy at his home last night, a red 72 years. Mr. Manning's name was brought into the insurance investigation by reason rea-son of bis being mentioned in a letter addressed to Senator Depew, which was presented in evidence, and in which Mr. Manning was spoken of as "Our ran-tankerous ran-tankerous friend up the river." Mr. Manning retired from active practice of his profession several years ago. |
