Show : LOCAL NOTES Bridge club held a farewell party Tuesday evening at No- 1 fire hall in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Clair R. MathLs, who are leaving leav-ing soon to make their home at Spanish Fork. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. W. V. Robinson. Robin-son. Mrs. Mathis, Mrs John O'Brien, O'-Brien, Mr. Mathis, Boyd J. Ner-din Ner-din and Earl T. James. Mr. and Mrs. Mathis were also presented present-ed a lovely going away gift by the club. A late luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald G. Lar-sen Lar-sen are now living in San Francisco Fran-cisco where Gerald is connected With the Bank of America. He likes hli position very much and plans to make banking his future fu-ture business. Russell Gust arrived Tuesday evening from New Concord, O., to spend the summer with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Gust. Mrs. Leland Walker of Salt Lake City entertained the GGGG club and at a lovely handkerchief handker-chief shower in honor of Miss Ethel Richards Wednesday at the Town club. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Contratto and family returned Monday evening ev-ening from a four-day trip to Boise and Hebdgen dam. Betty Contratto, who has been attending attend-ing school at Boise and Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hurley returned with them. j John Madsen, recently discharged dis-charged from the army and formerly for-merly of Bingham Canyon, m as a visitor here Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs Harold Sturgill and sons spent last Sunday in Salt Lake City with Mr. Stur-gill's Stur-gill's mother, Mrs. James Hill. Mrs. D. N. Larsen of Bayard, N.M., and formerly of Bingham visited with Mr. and Mrs. New- i ell D. Larsen and little daughter Dorinda Ann of Hollywood, Cal. 1 At present Newell and family i are spending their vacation at St. Paul, Minn , with Mrs. Lar-len's Lar-len's parents, Mr. and Mrs Fred Phihpps. Miss Ethel Richards, a bride-elect bride-elect was entertained at a lovely bridge luncheon last Saturday at the home of Mrs. Paul Tanner of Ogden Mr. and Mrs. Dan Delaney and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Carter and family spent Sunday with Mrs. Elma Thomas of Mid-vale. |
