Show PTOMAINE POISONING FROM CANNED MEATS NEW YORK, Aug. 4. It became known last night that twenty nurses In the Bellevue Training school have been suffering suf-fering from ptomaine poisoning. All of them were confined to their rooms and some of them to their beds. Eight are still suffering from the poison, but none of them In a dangerous Condition. The nurses were taken sick on Wednesday Wednes-day night after. It Is said, they had eaten some canned tongue and ham. The first one stricken said she thought she had been poisoned, and then the others began to show the effects of the poison. The doctors were kept busy treating the patients. |
